As with any business large or small we all go through changes and growth.  Last year was by far the hardest I have ever worked, averaging 5 weddings a week in the summer and still working on lil pixley {baby line} and {k.p.d} the everyday line.  I honestly felt burnt out, which was the main reason I took time off. I needed to look at Kate Pixley and make it functional for my family... {which if you wait till the end of this post you can meet our newest family member}. I had originally planned to only take a couple weeks off, but it turned into months... I needed it.  I worked on new designs and in the end worked on the "stuff" in the background... the things that bore the average person.  I hope you understand why this was needed. It was all done to make your experience with {k.p.d} better, faster and easier... but as always you will be getting super cute items!!!

So onto the changes.... 

I will still be making custom pillows, however, fabric will not be ordered in for individual orders. I have a large selection of fabric in my studio and will be uploading pictures in the next few weeks so you all can see.

I will no longer be making custom ordered make-up bags, totes, cozies etc unless we talk... {as in you have a special order}. All items will be listed in the shop and will be {READY TO SHIP} items and will be mailed out on Tuesdays or Thursdays... whichever comes first. I am mainly doing this so I can ensure I have quality time with my family and am not always feeling behind the ball with orders piling up... and you can rest assure that your order is there in a few days instead of the average 2-3 week turnaround last summer had.

I will have {NEW} products as well as new designs of the favorites.  Some items have been placed into retirement, and others will strictly be seasonal, so when they are sold out they are gone till next year. 

Wedding items will remain custom, but I will have ready to ship items in the shop.

I will be doing shows which you can book and host. This will allow you to see all the items in my shop first hand and as well score yourself with a serious discounts and some free items... {YAY}  I will start booking in April.

So April 1st is the grand  re-opening of Kate Pixley... a bunch of new items, discounts and giveaways will be done to celebrate.  Make sure you join in on the fun, share with your family and friends cause this year is going to rock!!!

February was an awesome month as we welcomed our third baby... Greyson Elijah Edward on Feb 16th, 2012.  He is such a sweet little guy...

OKAY!!!  So first let me start off by saying so so sorry that I am not updating this baby the way I should... my computer has made up it's mind that it likes toast and is now in the garbage... {cough} has nothing to do with rage issues LOL....  So until then... I have pictures... they are pretty... and new items... OH SO LOVELY... but no way of showing you them... UNLESS.... You follow me on Twitter... then you will see my items because I have a "smart phone".... I tried to make it talk to my computer.  So I upload pictures while in my studio... so if you haven't yet... follow me!  @katepixley  I will follow back and I love chatting.... YAY!

take my new found love of sewing to my everyday.  I started with one and then couldn't stop and because I loved making them so much I started to sell them to the girls I worked with and to friends because I would bring them all around and they were exactly what I would want.  Tall enough to fit all my everyday make up and a little more in, and have the ability to close it, as well as it could stand on it's own and lastly was SUPER cute.  Those of you who know me know I HATE mornings LOL.  So here are some of my newbies who are coming with me this weekend to the trunk show... any left will be put in my shop... but I might keep kate here.  {LOVE} Have a great day xoxo K
